Custom Injection Molded Nylon Plastic Cap for Commercial Vehicles

Proving our versatility with all types of plastic material, Northern Precision Plastics provided our plastic injection molding services in the manufacture of these nylon plastic caps used in the interior of a commercial vehicle. The order consisted of three separate piece types with different dimensions: right hand, left hand, and inner caps. Each type needed to be injection molded accurately and efficiently, to a tolerance of ±1/16″.

Our customer required strict quality standards, which was in keeping with our general production methods here at Northern Precision Plastics. Warpage needed to be held to .06″ or less, and the molded parts could not have any burrs, fins, chilled edges, internal defects, or sharp edges. Our expertise in mold flow analysis and testing proved useful in meeting these standards consistently and across the board.
